To finish off the year, we held our annual chair champs competition. Tom from Class 7 represented Year 5. Chair champs is a mental maths competition which tests children’s math skills. Tom is the champion and managed to compete in the final round with an immense score of 14.77 seconds.
Class 8 say well done to Tom and everyone that has taken part in todays chair champs.
This morning, we have had a whole school spelling competition. Charlie represented our class. Charlie did exceptionally well and even managed to beat Year 6. Charlie was faced with some tricky words including: sufficient, cemetery, museum and convenience. Class 8 all say a big well done to Charlie!
This morning, we have two ladies from the NSPCC in explaining to us about childline and about how important it is to talk an adult about any worried you may have. We spoke about being about to tell our parents as well as teacher in school. Who else could you talk to?
This afternoon, the whole school have taken part in a fun run to raise money for Operation Christmas Child. We all run around the playground helping our hearts to get beating and helping to keep us healthy! How many times did you manage to run around?
